PCD tools have been widely used in aluminum production. The system is characterized by the minimum work required to increase the number of mounting teeth, long service life and low roughness.
However, if areas of surface roughness are required, or even rougher than the very good standard surface produced during PCD processing, PCD tools often reach their limits.
This can be remedied by using PCD auxiliary tools that can be adapted individually to the application or retroactively installed in existing standard tools.
