It uses a built-in electronic scale to yield real time, weight measurements for precise results. The Vario-W 986 is very exact; it can actually measure within 0.2 gram of the actual weight as it’s grinding.

The inventive weight based technology is backed by time-tested components including 54mm Mahlkönig ceramic flat burrs and an efficient motor. This model retains the user-friendly push-button controls and sliding adjustments of its predecessor for hassle-free operation. Another new feature is the updated 8oz bean hopper which employs the same locking mechanism found on the Forte models.
