Conquer every commute and countryside ride with this powerful electric bike. The Carrera Crossfuse E carries a 400Wh Bosch Powerpack battery that gives an impressive assistance range of up to 80 miles. The battery is paired to a Bosch Active Line centre drive motor, with performance enhancing torque sensor that provides natural assistance exactly when you need it, and is positioned for optimum weight distribution, giving the Crossfuse E outstanding stability and agility.

The lightweight alloy crossbar frame delivers excellent rigidity for control and confidence on every terrain. Also helping you master every route are the rapid-fire Shimano Alvio 9-speed gears, plus Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, front and rear. The Suntour NEX HLO forks with 66mm of travel ensure ultimate comfort, while large 700c wheels with Schwalbe Tyrago KG tyres complete an all-round package built to take on any terrain. Be rest assured, this model also comes with a 2-year warranty on all electrical components.

Battery:
With a sleek 400Wh Bosch Li-Ion Power Pack mounted to the down-tube, weight is kept central on the Crossfuse to provide very similar ride characteristics as the non-electric equivalent bike. The 400Wh battery is very capable of supporting longer rides with a range of up to 80 miles, depending on the assistance required. To support the sophisticated motor and battery system, the Crossfuse comes with a smart control system (BMS) that protects the battery from overheating, short circuiting or overcharging. The battery re-charges in 6.5 hours and comes with a full 2-year / 500 charge Bosch manufacturer’s warranty.

Note: The total travel distance will depend on the capacity of the battery, rider and luggage weight, power mode setting and riding style.

Motor:
The Carrera Crossfuse E is built around the outstanding platform of the same name, but this time features a top of the range Bosch Active Line, Centre Drive motor. With the motor system and weight positioned around the bottom bracket, weight is kept low and central, making for supreme handling and control. The crank based power control in the system is delivered courtesy of a premium Torque sensor, which sensitively eases the power in and out in response to your input, providing a natural ride feel – allowing you to focus on the world around you. The quality of the motor system really needs to be tried to be believed, and once you have been riding for a while, you’re likely to forget you’re riding an e-bike. As required by law, the motor will automatically stop assisting you once you achieve a speed of 15.5mph.

Head-Unit:
The electric motor of the Carrera Crossfuse is controlled via Bosch’s compact LCD display. The Head Unit has larger front facing buttons to allow for quick setting changes whilst on the move, whilst the crystal-clear screen makes for easy reading. The system has 4 varying assistance modes, depending on your requirements, as well as Speed and Mileage data. The display is located on the left-hand side of the handlebar to provide convenience for quick thumb-controls.
