Designed to offer maximum versatility for UK riding adventures, the Boardman ADV 8.9E Men’s Adventure Electric Bike can turn its hand to almost anything, thanks to its perfect blend of road bike speed with a more relaxed position, and off-road focussed geometry. This fast and practical Electric Adventure bike uses the sophisticated, German engineered Fazua Evation drive system to offer smooth and powerful electric assistance as you pedal. With the smooth power of the Fazua motor driving you onwards, you can explore further and faster than ever before, confident that you can tackle any hidden hills.

Weighing in at just 4.6kg for the whole system, the Fazua Evation system keeps the Boardman ADV 8.9E Mens Adventure Electric Bike 2021 lightweight and practical to live with. The battery and motor can also be removed and replaced with a lightweight cover (sold separately), meaning you can ride your e-bike just like a normal bike with barely any weight penalty and no extra drivetrain resistance if you decide you don’t need any assistance. Pannier rack and mudguard ready, this bike is also a brilliant commuting option. Be rest assured, this model also comes with a 2-year warranty on all electrical components.

The electric motor of the Boardman ADV 8.9e 2021 is controlled via the fully integrated Fazua Evation remote fX. The remote allows the rider to intuitively switch between the assistance levels with the sensitive touch interface. Battery level and system health can be quickly read off the five LEDs located on the side without any risk of distracting the rider. An intelligent light sensor also ensures the brightness of the LEDs adapts to external light levels.

Battery:
The 250Wh integrated battery is removable, which makes for easy charging without needing a plug where you store your bike. Long rides are handled easily thanks to a range of up to 56 miles* on the 'Breeze Mode' setting. To support the sophisticated motor and battery system, the ADV comes with a smart control system (BMS) that protects the battery from overheating, short circuiting or overcharging.

Note - the total travel distance will depend on the capacity of the battery, rider and luggage weight, power mode setting and riding style.

Motor:
The Fazua Evation e-bike drive system features a hidden, integrated motor capable of producing 250W of power assistance, and 60Nm of torque.

Sensor:
Using a sophisticated combination of Torque, Speed, and Cadence sensors, the Fazua system closely monitors your pedalling and feeds in power smoothly when you need it. It stops instantly when you stop pedalling - keeping you always in complete control. There are 3 levels of assistance to choose from using the intuitive handlebar remote control, which also shows battery charge levels.
